Sitting in silence
Listening to birds
It feels like home"

The sound of your laughter.

It was always something that I enjoyed when we laughed together.  In the way you look when it was happening. How your eyes shut tight and how you can’t help but laugh more, whatever it was about.  Whether it was something on a tv show or a movie or simply me tickling you with my arms and or my feet.  The restlessness in your voice in trying to gasp for air because you were laughing so much you forgot.  When I make you laugh, the sound of your laughter reassures me that I do bring out happiness in you.  I’ve always thought that laughing was a healthy way of living life.  Not to constantly be laughing but, to laugh here and there. To enjoy life a little in it’s silly ways sometimes.

It also reminds me when we were in your room downstairs when you were living in Renton, and we were getting to go out and you had put on my cowboy boots.  It was the first time you ever made me laugh so hard.  I laughed so much that I started to tear up from it being so silly.  Silly in how you looked in my cowboy boots.  I remember telling you that you looked like a horse because of how it was bent.  We laughed and laughed until we couldn’t anymore.  That memory still stands out to me.

It was recently when we were driving to Fred Meyer and it was raining out.  I don’t remember if music was playing but you were trying to rap because I had saw McDonalds from afar - I happen to say “Mickey D’s” and you started rapping about it and making sounds with your mouth and hand movements.  It had to have been one of the funniest moments with you because I couldn’t stop laughing and by that, it made you laugh too. Everything about it was memorable because it was just so random and I didn’t expect that coming out of you.

Laughing with you, even if it meant little here and there - it was refreshing to me because I think it’s healthy and important to smile and laugh once in a while. To feel happy from something silly or funny.  But most importantly, being able to share those moments with you.
